Admission Process

Air Force School Jaisalmer follows a transparent, structured, and child-friendly admission policy to ensure fairness and equal opportunity for every applicant. The school adheres to CBSE norms while prioritising academic readiness, holistic development, and discipline.

  1. Children of serving Air Force personnel may be admitted at any time during the academic session, subject to the stipulation laid down by CBSE for classes IX-X.
  2. Children of Army, Navy, Para-Military Forces and civilian may be admitted subject to vacancies after admitting all Air Force children, catering for mid-session admissions on transfers and after admitting 25%students under RTE.
  3.  Age Limit :A child should have completed the following age as of 01 April of the academic year in which admission is sought to the classes mentioned below :
    a) Nursery: 03 years and above
    b) LKG: 04 years
    c) UKG: 05 years
    d) Class 1 : 06 years
  4. Minimum age at the time of admission to other classes will accordingly be calculated as per the above stipulation. Children born on or before 01 April shall be deemed as having attained the requisite age. No age waiver will be granted.
  5. Proof of Age : Any of the following documents is to be accepted in original as proof of age :
    a) Birth certificate issued by Municipalities/ Village Panchayats.
    b) In case of Defence personnel, PORextract duly signed by the Unit

Adjutant is also required.

Admission on Transfer Certificate: Students transferring with Transfer Certificate (TC) from an Air Force School, or from another school for admission to Class II and below, will not be required to undergo an admission test. If the previous school was not an Air Force School, the TC must be countersigned by the District Education Officer (DEO) of the district wherethe school is located.

The endorsement should clearly state whether the school is recognized. Transfer Certificates from Air Force Schools must be countersigned by the Executive Director (ED) of the School.

 

GENERAL INSTRUCTION:

AGE LIMIT:

  • Nursery: The child should complete 3 years as on 31st March
  • LKG: The child should complete 4 years as on 31st March
  • UKG: The child should complete 5 years as on 31st March
  • Class I: The child should complete 6 years as on 31st March

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED:

  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate. (self Attested)
  • TC of Previous school (Original)
  • Recent Two colored passport size photographs.
  • Admission form
  • Extract of POR for serving personnel.

WITHDRAWL:

  • An application is to be submitted at least 07 days prior to the required date for the transfer certificate.
  • No TC will be issued until all dues are cleared.
  • Valid reason for the transfer should be mentioned in the application for the TC.
